Home Screen/Menu Options


The Home Screen in the PrivacyStar application provides options to the most commonly used features and settings. It also shows the number of Total Blocks the PrivacyStar application has blocked since it was installed on the Activity button.


Activity - Shows a list of when calls or texts are blocked by PrivacyStar, also known as your blocking history. The total block count can be found on the Home Screen on the Activity Button.


Blocked List - Provides a listing of all blocked numbers and allows users to edit the name or unblock the number. Tap the ''Plus'' Button at the top of the screen to add a new blocked number by manually typing in a 1 to 10 digit number or selecting from your recently called list. The total block number count can be found on the Home Screen on the Blocked List Button.


Settings - Options for blocking that include: Block Text Messages, Block Unknown Callers, Group Block, Smart Block, and Do Not Disturb. There is also a button to Disable or Enable the PrivacyStar Service.


Number Lookup - Enter a 10 digit number to receive the incoming caller name, if provided, as well as options to Block the number or file a Complaint on the number.


Complaints - Provides a listing of all complaints you have created and their current status. Complaints can be viewed at any time or cancelled within 24 hours of creating the complaint. Tap the ''Plus'' Button at the top of the screen to add a new complaint. The total complaints number count can be found on the Home Screen on the Complaints Button.


Payment - If you have not already purchased PrivacyStar, there will be an option on the home screen called Payment. This will allow you to view available payment options.

Settings


Block Text Messages - When enabled, all of your blocked numbers will now have their texts blocked as well.


Block Unknown Callers - When selected, private, restricted, unknown, or anonymous callers will be automatically blocked by PrivacyStar. If a number appears when the call comes in you will still have to block them using the Blocked List section.


Group Block - When turned on, calls are blocked from any 1 to 9 digit number prefix listed in Group Blocking. An examle would be 888 will block all incoming calls that start with 888.


Smart Block - The Smart Block list is comprised of the 25 most frequently blocked numbers as determined by the PrivacyStar user community. When turned on, Smart Block will automatically block numbers on this list. The Smart Block list is updated frequently.


Do Not Disturb - When turned on all incoming calls that are not in the Blocked List will be sent to voicemail. A custom text message option is available that will automatically be sent to the caller, up to 160 characters.


Enable/Disable PrivacyStar Service - This button allows the user to Enable or Disable the PrivacyStar Service. If the button says "ON" then the PrivacyStar Service is currently enabled. If the button says "OFF" then the PrivacyStar Service will be disabled.

How can I stop a number from being blocked?


A number can easily be removed from the Blocked List and no longer be blocked. Follow these instructions to unblock a Number:

How can I uninstall the application?


PrivacyStar can be removed from your device by uninstalling it from the Applications list on your Android device. A reboot of the device may be required for it to completely take effect.
